November 3 Discussion

On November 3 we'll continue the discussion of land use characteristics, work through a case study simulation, and then discuss point source and non-point source impacts.

We'll also focus a little more closely on Four Mile Run, and then as time allows, explore physical characteristics of watersheds.

Next week (November 10), we'll explore watershed stewardship and advocacy.

Four Mile Run Birds (and litter)

I walked down to the location where I saw the spraying on October 15, but I could not see any obvious effects today of that spraying.  I will check again later.

Here is one example of the kinds of birds I see at times along this stretch of Four Mile Run; I took this picture of three Great Egrets (and some trash) on September 7 of this year:
